GRAIN
Grain (wheat or maize) is milled, mashed and fermented before continuous distillation and, ultimately, blended with malt whisky.
MALT
Cereal grains (in this case, barley) that have been steeped, germinated and dried before being milled for whisky making.
CASK
After an initial 3 years in American oak, the whisky is then transferred to first-fill American bourbon casks from Louisville, Kentucky which have only been used once for the maturation of bourbon. A further 6 months in these special casks is the finishing touch that takes this whisky from great to exceptional.
COLOUR
Rich with a golden hue.
NOSE
Delicate honeyed biscuits, vanilla and ripe fruit seamlessly blending into toasted Brazil nuts and mocha coffee with mild spice.
PALATE
Soft honey with vanilla notes, buttery spicy oak, ripe pear with subtle hints of cracked black pepper and cinnamon spice.
FINISH
Luscious and lingering vanilla, cracked black pepper and cinnamon combine to create a smooth, clean finish.
